Who Qualifies For A Bursary Or College Student Loan From NSFAS?



The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application procedure.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must fulfill the following requirements:

• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a home by using a combined gross home earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 per annum.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.

Applicants are reminded to deliver the proper Identity Document numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored in their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds individuals who are studying or intend to research in a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.
